BI Developer Depending on experience + annual bonus + benefits Cardiff - hybrid office / WFH We are working with a leading Cardiff based Medical / Healthcare Company who have an excellent opportunity for an experienced BI Developer to join their growing Data and Process function. You will be responsible for responsible for building, developing, and optimising the conceptual and logical data systems under the direction of the Groups Data Architect. Duties may include developing and preparing business information reports, system monitoring and performing system migrations.This role supports the Group Data Strategy by understanding requirements and delivering reporting and insights primarily utilising SQL and Power BI.To succeed in this role you should have a background in data and business analysis with a wide range of technical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.The role: *Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.*Designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions.*Translate data into valuable insights that inform decisions. *Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.*Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.*Develop and update technical documentation.*Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.*Monitor system performance by performing regular tests and troubleshooting.*Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.*Understands data governance and how it works in relation to organisation governance structures.Skills / experience: *Experience within a similar BI Developer / Data Manager role *Knowledge of database structure / data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modelling) *SQL Server to 2019 and Azure SQL Data Warehouse an advantage *SSRS / SSIS / Power BI *Data analysis experience*In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) *Strong written, verbal communication skills.Contact David Southwood - CPS Group UK By applying to this advert you are giving CPS Group (UK) Ltd authority to hold and process your data for this specific role and any other roles we may deem suitable to you over time.
