Job Description We are currently recruiting a Product Technical Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the management and monitoring of product technical aspects within Retail Annuities, providing first-line views and opinions to support the aims and ambitions of Retail Annuities, ensuring that products and propositions remaincompliant and in line with internal governance frameworks. You will also own aspects of development coming from strategic/propositional change, and from regulator-led initiatives. You will present a technical view on working groups, ensuring that Retail Annuities interests are supported and meet regulations. Finally, you will act as a subject matter expert, assisting the wider Retail business with retirement technical and proposition queries. Salary: up to £47,000 + competitive bonus and benefits What youll be doing

  • Providing Technical support to design and develop products / propositions that meet the needs, characteristics, and objectives of customers in an identified target market.
  • Undertaking appropriate technical research to provide assurance that the product / proposition will perform as expected to meet the needs, characteristics, and objectives of customers in the target market, in a compliant manner.
  • Raising any instances of actual or potential consumer harm in our products or processes with the Technical Manager.
  • Keeping knowledge of regulation, products, and processes current.
  • Regularly reviewing the product/proposition risks to ensure they continue to meet the needs, characteristics and objectives of the target market and are delivering good customer outcomes.
  • Supporting the Technical Manager and wider Retail teams with day-to-day queries, ensuring their swift resolution.
  • Assisting with responses to regulator consultations and requests for information.
Qualifications What were looking for
  • Must have demonstrable experience in a pensions or retirement role
  • Knowledge of L&G Retails retirement products and how they operate within regulatory frameworks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Evidence of analytical and problem-solving skills
