Job DescriptionWe are hiring an Agency Appointments Analyst to join our team. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for reviewing all directly authorised firms and directors, for all Intermediary Sales Channels by conducting annual due diligence checks and review of existing screening data held, whilst adhering to FCA regulationsand internal compliance and financial crime control standards . What youll be doing

  • Conducting necessary onboarding checks for Appointed Representatives and Registered Advisers to review suitability of granting an agency and whether an Intermediary AR or RI should be on-boarded with Legal & General In line with company standards.
  • Conducting due diligence checks from existing agency data held against credit sources and public domains used to review and verify Intermediary data is still valid and correct to ensure Intermediarys data meets minimum financial control requirements.
  • Ensuring accurate entry of data into Agency systems/records & databases. Identify and escalate any financial crime concerns and risks that requires further assistance from Management, Commercial Division or Financial Crime specialist to determine whetherapplication should proceed.
  • Building and maintaining a good level of technical knowledge that enables an effective contribution to risk and compliance activities including full use of all tools in relation to RPA, bulk tools and regulatory permissions to support completion of work.
  • Performing to agreed SLA standards and business objectives in respect of quality, quantity and timeliness. Fully responsible for all tasks assigned to enable business to be written and serviced, by managing the various agency appointment set up requestsand the contractual relationships in strict accordance with the FCA critical guidelines.
  • Building and maintaining a good working relationship with customers and key stakeholders within L&G, developing and maintaining relationships with regular reviews and catch ups, seeking feedback from source to maximise and improve the customer experience
  • Taking responsibility to ensure that the needs of our customers internally and externally are met and are in line with Legal and Generals Customer Experience and Consumer Duty Commitments.
QualificationsWhat were looking for
  • Demonstrate the knowledge required to perform the role it is anticipated that the role holder will have sufficient commercial perspective and overall knowledge of the business sectors in which Legal & General operates and the Legal & General entities involved
  • Good understanding of FCA Principles and various structures and how these are applied with consideration of FCA Permissions, including a good awareness of the measures required to conduct 3rd party due diligence with existing ongoing Firms and Individuals
  • A good level of competency, understanding and knowledge of the regulations around T&C, Money Laundering, Financial Sanctions Regime, GDPR, & Complaints Awareness and referral/escalation routes along with FCA Regulatory and Contractual Agreements withinSales Channels.
  • Sound Industry & business knowledge and systems - to support the onboarding /ongoing governance and profiling of firms and individuals, Lexis Nexis, Dunn & Bradstreet, ID&V, land registry charges, credit reports along with good level of understanding ofoperational processes across the divisions that support onboarding of intermediaries and ongoing continuance of existing intermediaries agencies
  • Detailed understanding of Intermediary hierarchies, contractual positions, onboarding governance along with awareness of business policies across all divisions to support effective contribution to risk and compliance activities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work effectively, both individually and within a team portraying good communication & written skills with the ability to articulate and summarise financial risks and mitigating factors in a clear and consistent manner
  • Detailed understanding of commission and financial credit systems methodologies and their applications in meeting business requirements
  • Enhanced understanding of systems and controls used to protect L&G against financial crime and risk exposure. being fully accountable for all recommendations made during review process.
  • Ability to work effectively despite ever changing volumes, maintain customer satisfaction and quality of service demonstrating ability to deal efficiently with customers. Able to interpret and analyse data and understand business metrics in the contextof commercial and financial risk to support sound referrals .
