Job Description

NOW Careers are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Specialist for our Client based in Cardiff CF23.This is a permanent position, offering salary of up to £26,000pa DOEPlease note that this is fully working form the office. This role is full time, but part time candidates will also be considered. Hours of work: 37.5 per weekHoliday allowance: 25 days + 8 Bank HolidaysResponsibilities

  • Process all aspects of a monthly/weekly payroll data following client instructions.
  • Process client payrolls using current HMRC legislation and Real Time Information routines.
  • Deal with and understand client pension auto enrolment obligations/requirements on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Be responsible for maintenance and updating of all client payroll files, both manual and computerised.
  • Liaise with HMRC in writing or via telephone when necessary
  • Deal with and answer client employee payroll queries
  • Chase clients for payroll data where necessary to ensure compliance with RTI
  • Provide guidance to clients in respect of payroll related entitlements. E.g. Holidays
  • Deal with end of year Final Full payment submissions and production of P60s
Key Skills and Competency
  • Up to date knowledge of HMRC current payroll legislation to include Real Time Information
  • Experience of using SAGE software
  • Good understanding of Pension auto enrolment
  • Strong MS Outlook, Excel and Word skills
  • Experience of basic HR processes and administration
  • Good written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate and calculate payroll manually
  • Experience of SAGE payroll reporting, desirable
  • Good numeracy skills
