Job Description

Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Ltd is an independent consultancy specialising in the application of health economic techniques to support pharmaceutical pricing, reimbursement and market access activities. We currently have a team of 70 researchers based in the UK and Germany who specialise in the development of mathematical disease models, the statistical analysis of clinical trial and real-world databases and who perform systematic literature reviews and meta-analysis. Our clients are global pharmaceutical and medical technology companies and our projects encompass a broad range of applications across all disease areas.Due to our continued growth and expansion we are looking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious Commercial Finance Manager on a part-time basis (0.6 or 0.8 WTE considered). This role would primarily be based from our Head Office in Cardiff, with opportunity for some flexible and home-based working.Key job responsibilities

  • Development of management accounts and financial forecasts
  • Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management
  • Project and cost accounting
  • Financial analysis and reporting
  • Support for and contribution to business planning
  • Internal improvement processes and controls
  • Leading on commercial and contracting processes
  • Acting as a finance business partner to the leadership team
  • Line management responsibilities
  • Qualifications and role requirementsEssential
  • Varied accounting and finance management experience
  • Ability to work independently leading on development of internal processes and controls
  • Demonstration of a commercial focus enabling business growth
  • Ability to be a strong and dynamic business partner to the leadership team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to adapt communication style to multiple (e.g. non-financial) stakeholders both internally and externally with impact
  • A range of accounting qualifications will be considered
