SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe with strong positions in its core markets as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and as a merchant of roofing and exteriors products.We are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to ensure that the receiving, storage, picking and loading of stock is efficient and timely managed. As part of this role, you will also undertake some vandriving duties, so a cleandriving licence is essential.What does the role involveAs Warehouse Operative , you will be required to assist with deliveries, un-loading and loading of vehicles at the branch. A large part of this role will include driving the sprinter van; therefore you will be required to maintain good care of your vehicle,perform daily safety checks, and keep transport documents and paperwork updated. We are looking for someone who will maintain a clean and safe working environment and who will be an asset to the day-to-day operations within the branch.The successful candidate will require: A full, clean car driving licence Experience of driving for a delivery or distribution Company and the ability to drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle No more than 6 points on your licence Manual Handling experience Good knowledge of safe working practices Hold a Forklift LicenceIn return we offer: Highly Competitive salary with annual pay award and staff recognition schemes 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
