SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe with strong positions in its core markets as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and as a merchant of roofing and exteriors products.We are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager, to focus on Builders Merchant sales, as SIG look to increase sales through existing relationships and the development of new relationships with Merchants across the central belt in Scotland.What does the role involveAs Business Development Manager, you will be expected to manage current agreements with our Merchant partners where you will take the lead in engaging and developing regional relationships with Merchant customers and identify and develop salesopportunities at all levels and make SIG the solution and product supplier of choice with regional Builders Merchants.The successful candidate will require:Experience within the construction industry, with a proven track record in delivering results and financial targetsStrong decision-making ability and successful sales management experience, with in depth knowledge and an understanding of and effective sales function and best practicesExcellent business, commercial and financial acumen, with a pragmatic approachDemonstrable leadership skills, with strategic thinking, influencing, and negotiating skillsStrong Skills, especially in MS Excel.
