Job Description

This Workforce Planning Manager role includes Nationwide travel and is to ensure that the organisation has the right resource, capability and talent to achieve immediate and strategic ambitions now and in the future. The post holder will be responsible for attracting, developing and retaining talented people. You will manage a small team to deliver innovative and high-quality resourcing advice and solutions for the business.Client DetailsThe client are a leading National Education and training establishment that run numerous sites from (Sheffield to Cambridge) across the country and are in need of an experienced Workforce Planning Manager to bring positive and succinct change across all sites, hence the role including national travel and someone with the gravitas to drive improvements in Recruitment, resourcing and talent mapping activities. The Group are experiencing positive growth and looking or like minded commercial individuals to help drive long term performanceDescriptionWorkforce Planning Manager Key duties and Accountabilities

  • Support the Head of HR to develop a comprehensive future proof workforce and talent management plan aligned with the People strategy,
  • Regular meetings with the education establishments nationwide to understand individual site objectives and challenges, designing appropriate resourcing campaigns across Primary, Secondary phases
  • Professional point of contact for school based resourcing requirements and workforce planning activities
  • Analyses relevant internal and external benchmarks, trends; and metrics, working with schools to take decisions and implement action plans to meet these;
  • Ensures consistency and, where applicable, compliance in all areas of recruitment and resourcing policy, process and management of plans
  • Proactively gains key client feedback to aid the HR function to improve service levels and identify cross function priorities and conflicts
  • Manage the organisation-wide succession planning process and methodology, ensuring integration across other critical people processes.
  • Identify the skills and capabilities that need to be developed in the short and long term to ensure sustainable performance.
  • Manage resourcing and talent processes, ensuring they are fit for purpose to deliver required outcomes
  • Work with senior leaders and managers to use succession plan data for filling key position
  • Through effective workforce planning and resourcing initiatives, ensure the organisation is appropriately staffed to deliver maximum impact in the short and long term.
  • Collaborate across group functions to understand the needs of the business and align innovative workforce solutions alongside sound commercial decisions.
  • Utilising HR metrics and external benchmarking data to support organisational design
  • Ensure recruitment policies and approaches are regularly refreshed to remove bias and prevent discrimination.
  • Integrate diversity and inclusion initiatives into resource and talent management solutions to build and nurture diverse talent.
  • Deliver strategic talent attraction and management projects
  • ProfileWorkforce Planning Manager Experience, Skills & Capabilities;
  • Expertise in a wide range of Recruitment, Selection & Assessment tools and techniques and practical application of solutions to address short, medium and long-term requirements.
  • Strong operational management skills and a track record of delivering high quality, customer focused, operational Resourcing services
  • Team management experience to include resource planning and scheduling and the coaching, developing and performance management of others.
  • High levels of influence, communication and personal impact with the ability to prepare and present reports in a clear and concise way to garner support for innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrates the ability to analyse and understand data and information quickly. Uses information, insights and knowledge in a structured way to identify options, make recommendations and make robust, defendable decisions.
  • Demonstrates determination, resourcefulness and purpose to deliver the best results for the organisation and its people.
  • Builds relationships with key current and future influencers, working within and around politics and formal processes.
  • Manages delivery at a team level by prioritising, setting clear milestones and establishing unambiguous measures.
