Job Description

Sustainability ConsultantCambridgeUp to £50k DOECobalt is delighted to be working alongside a leading Consultancy within the built environment. Due to their continued success across the business, they are looking for further expansion across their sustainability offering and are keen to bring in an experiencedSustainability Consultant.Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for leading projects from inception through to completion
  • Provide expert guidance to clients on building performance strategies, including energy modelling and thermal analysis
  • Carry out detailed building performance simulations and analysis of the results to inform design decisions
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop sustainable building designs and strategies
  • Lead and mentor a team of building physics consultants, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of building physics and sustainability.
Personal specification:
  • Education in a relevant field such as Building Physics, Environmental Engineering, or Sustainability would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building physics principles, thermal comfort analysis, and sustainable building design strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with UK building regulations and sustainability standards (e.g., BREEAM, LEED) is highly desirable.
