Job Description

Senior Data Engineer / Lead (Python ETL) Cambridge / WFH to £80kAre you an experienced Data Engineer looking for an opportunity to make an impact You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on leadership role, working on game changing technology for the farming and agricultural community.As a Senior Data Engineer / Lead youll take ownership of the data ingestion ETL system and will build a team around you. Youll be extracting and aggregating multiple sources of farm data to reveal useful insights and will seek ways to improve how datais managed at scale, finding innovative ways to capture, extract and transform data. Theres a modern tech stack, youll be using Python and AWS Glue to build data pipelines.This is an impactful role where youll be collaborating with the board and other senior technologists, building and scaling the companys data function and team.Location / WFH:You can work from home most of the time, meeting up with colleagues in the Cambridge office once a quarter.Requirements:

  • You have strong Data Engineering experience
  • You have experience of building ETL data pipelines with Python, ideally you also have experience with AWS Glue
  • You have strong leadership skills, having managed small teams of Data Engineers - youre keen to mentor and build a team around you
  • You have experience of technically leading data projects
  • You have a strong knowledge of SQL / NoSQL databases
  • You have an understanding of Containerisation with Docker
Salary & benefits:As a Senior Data Engineer / Lead (Python ETL) you will earn a competitive salary (to £80k) plus benefits and perks including;
