Job Description

Senior Data Engineer - £85,000 - London (Hybrid) We have an exciting opportunity for an experience Senior Data Engineer to join an organisation that partners with major brands and retailers to offer solutions and unlock growth. You will be joining an business that values innovation, collaboration and creatingan environment built on respect and integrity to ensure faster decision making and transforming operating models. You will be given the opportunity to work across a variety of sectors and industries including Finance, Banking, Health-care, Insurance, Mediaand Retail.You will be working closely with stakeholders to identify and define self service analytic solutions and dashboards. You will be responsible for lean and maintainable enterprise BI design across organisations. You will be providing technical expertise inneeds identification, data modelling, data movement and transformation mapping translating business needs into technical solutions while following data guidelines from a business unit to address business and environmental challenges.Role & Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, testing and deploying data integration processes
  • Creating functional and technical documentation
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders, understanding business needs and deriving data flow as well as logical and physical data models using those needs
  • Acting as a project lead or a data lead - overseeing multiple consultants ranging from juniors - seniors
  • Remaining up to date with emerging technologies, recommending and influencing the best approaches for data integration
  • Working closely with project managers, business staff and technical staff with anything data related at project or business unit levels
Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Data Integration tools - i.e. SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks, Airflow, Apache
  • Strong management experience, leading, mentoring, guiding junior - senior engineers and overseeing the completion of a project
  • Experience working for a consultancy or 1st hand experience working in a client facing role, managing stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Data Warehousing, OLTP systems, SDLC and Data Integration
  • Proficiency with database platforms - i.e. Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, SQL Data Warehouse, SQL Server
  • Strong understanding of on-premise and cloud infrastructure architectures
  • Strong experience with SQL Server Analysis, Reporting Services, MS Power BI, Tableau
