About the OpportunityREED Scientific are working with an exciting Cambridge based Biotech who are seeking a scientist/senior scientist to join their Drug Discovery team.The team is focused on harnessing the power of T cell biology in developing novel therapeutics for treating cancer. This an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced medicines that can impact the lives of patients around the world.In this role you will be responsible for:• Generation of expression constructs using molecular cloning techniques• Work with primary immune cell cultures• In vitro cell based assay development• Ex vivo cell based assay development- particularly interested in this expertise• In vivo mouse model development and characterisation• Multi-parameter flow cytometry panel set up and analysis• Use of our state-of-art TCR pipeline technology for novel candidate discovery• Precise recording of daily laboratory work• Establishment, review, and updates of SOPsAbout You• PhD degree in a relevant area (e.g. Molecular and cellular biology or relevant discipline with experience in experimental research)• Molecular biology expertise in construct designs• Experience in cell culture and cell line development• Cell biology experiences in T cell biology, hematologic cells or cancer cells is desirable• Immuno-assay techniques such as ELISA, ELISpot, flow-based binding assays, are desirable• Fluorescent activated cell sorting and analysis• The ability to evaluate and develop methodologies to achieve desired goals• Proactive attitude and drive• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task• Capacity to trouble shoot• Organised and good time managementIf this sounds good to you, apply now with an up to date CV and someone from our team will review, and be in touch!
