Job Description

Roofer who is flexible and customer focussed with excellent communication skills and prior experience in external reactive building maintenance is required for a well-established specialist services supplier based in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.SALARY: £14.50 - £15.50 per Hour + Overtime rate of £21.75 - £23.25 per Hour + Excellent BenefitsLOCATION: Cambridge, CambridgeshireJOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentJOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Roofer who is flexible and customer focussed with excellent communication skills and prior experience in external reactive building maintenance.Working as a Roofer you will have the opportunity to join a specialist services supplier working from building maintenance to window and specialist cleaning, platform hire and equipment testing - self-delivered services, anywhere in the UK.As a Roofer you will be part of a dependable, in-house team that works around the clock and across the country, setting new standards for safety, speed, and consistency whilst offering planned and reactive building fabric maintenance and refurbishment servicesto commercial, retail and industrial sectors.APPLY TODAYIf this job looks like your ideal position, then please send in your CV as soon as possible for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as a Roofer will include:

  • Working in teams on reactive and planned maintenance jobs
  • Working at height safely on a daily basis
  • Cladding, commercial, traditional & industrial roofing maintenance
  • Guttering repairs / replacement
  • Utilising portable devices to undertake dynamic risk assessments on site and preparing reports on completed works
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Prior experience in external reactive building maintenance identifying leaks & rectification (pitched roofing, guttering, slating, concrete tiling, flat roofing & commercial sheeted roofs)
  • Must be flexible with working hours, working away, early starts, late finishes and some weekends as and when required
  • Availability to be on call on a rota basis
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Pride in workmanship and accountability
DESIRABLE SKILLS
  • IPAF (1b, 3a, eb)
  • CSCS labourer or skilled worker
  • PASMA
  • First aid
  • SSSTS
  • NVQ (Slating & Tiling/Sheeting & Cladding)
