Job Description

Patent Analyst - Science and Technology IPNewton Colmore s working with dynamic research organisation in Cambridgeshire, and we are searching for a patent analyst to join their IP team.You will be supporting teams in the UK and the US by running deep analysis of IP searches, patent landscapes and various other IP related projects across multiple sectors.Working alongside senior members of the IP team, your main responsibilities will involve;

  • Developing patent search strategies and analyse results, either carrying out the searches or in collaboration with third party search companies and to clearly communicate the outputs in a manner appropriate to the audience to internal management, IP andtechnology scouting colleagues.
  • To arrange IP alerts, and analyse competitor IP developments, and communicate findings with internal stakeholders.
  • To support the team of Patent Engineers in the delivery of the IP Team objectives.
  • Maintain IP department software licenses and serve as the primary liaison between the IP team and external search providers.
To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have a good understanding of chemistry, or biochemistry and its applications within science and technology. Ideally the company are looking for a recent PhD graduate, but we are open to MSc/BSc levelscientists who have prior IP experience.
