Job Description

Office Administrator

  • Job Type: Permanent, Part-time
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday,1pm - 5pm, 20 hours per week
  • Location: Cambridge
  • Salary: up to £14,500 (£29,000 FTE)
  • Start date: ASAP
We are seeking an Office Administration Assistant to join a law firm in Cambridge. This position involves a wide range of duties including general office administration, facilities, health and safety, and reception tasks. The ideal candidate will be a confidentand flexible individual who can work efficiently within tight deadlines and multitask on a daily basis. Day to Day of the role:
  • Report and log any building-related problems/issues.
  • Manage facilities, liaising with landlords to ensure maintenance of the premises.
  • Supervise cleaning contracts and liaise with cleaning companies to maintain high standards.
  • Provide a professional and friendly welcome to all office visitors.
  • Organise and set up meeting rooms, assist with events, and manage kitchen and toiletry supplies.
  • Maintain the reception area, conference rooms, and general office space, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
  • Manage conference room bookings and IT equipment.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for Partners and employees as required.
  • Handle deliveries, couriers, and post, as well as maintain and order office stationery supplies.
  • Act as the first point of contact for new starters, providing office tours and covering all necessary procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in an office environment is essential, with a preference for previous reception/office administration experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong customer service skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient IT skills, including knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
