A Mechanical Design / Project Engineer with a background in M&E or Building Services is sought by a Cambridgeshire companyThe role will involve the mechanical design of specialist M&E equipment for installation in an industrial environment. You will produce 3D Designs and 2D detailed drawings using Solidworks and AutoCAD based on client specifications. Covering full project lifecycle design duties developing the design to enable successful build, installation and handover.You will receive initial concepts and briefs, or you could be interpreting a written package of works and developing it into a detailed and coordinated work package. You will also interpret drawings and documents for design purposes, prepare initial Feasibility Studies and be involved in Estimating, Tendering and Project Planning.The successful candidate will need a Degree / HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering and 2-3 years experience. You will need to be proficient with Solidworks and AutoCAD and be able to produce 3D and 2D designs & drawings. Experience of dealing with clients and gathering initial project requirements would be an advantage as would any experience of assisting with Estimates and Tenders.
