Job Description

TEC Partners are pleased to have partnered with an innovative electronics company in the Cambridge area who is currently going from strength to strength as their product range continues to grow along with their global market presence.With their main customers sitting in the agricultural space, my client has created a high-tech solution to a global problem, of which allows real-time and detailed feedback allowing the implementation of corrective actives to essential products around theworld.Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and manage the companies quality management processes by establishing and implementing quality control procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Identify and handle quality issues by conducting thorough investigations, root cause analyses, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Improve inventory management by optimising inventory levels, tracking stock movement, and implementing efficient inventory control measures.
  • Monitor and address field quality issues by conducting regular inspections, collaborating with the operations team to implement containment procedures, and working with the R&D team to develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Assist in product launches by providing insights on manufacturability, conducting feasibility studies, sourcing components and suppliers, and ensuring smooth production processes.
Key Experience and Skills:
  • Proficiency in problem-solving techniques such as 6 Sigma, including the ability to apply statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making to solve quality-related issues.
  • Degree or advanced apprenticeship in manufacturing engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in manufacturing principles and processes.
  • Experience in quality project management within the industry, including experience in conducting audits, managing non-conformances, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Leadership experience in managing small teams with diverse skills, including the ability to motivate and guide team members towards achieving quality objectives
Desirable Skills:
  • Logistics expertise, including knowledge of supply chain management, transportation, and distribution.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, including familiarity with electronic components, assembly processes, and quality control measures.
  • Previous involvement with suppliers, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and relationship management.
  • Familiarity with Odoo or other MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems, enabling effective inventory management and production planning.
  • Mechanical design and CAD skills, facilitating the understanding and collaboration with engineering teams in product development and improvement.
  • First aid qualification, ensuring the ability to respond promptly and effectively to any on-site emergencies.
  • Possession of a full driving license, enabling travel to different locations as required for field inspections and coordination with teams and stakeholders
