Job Description

Maintenance Engineer required. Our client specialises in the manufacturing of high-end wires for cutting edge applications in additive manufacturing and superconductivity. They develop wires that will be used in future aircraft, renewableenergy applications, medical technology products, and other highly innovative sectors across the globe. They are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer due to the growth of the business.Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and facilities through proactive maintenance and repair activities. Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role in an industrial settingis essential for this role.Maintenance Engineer Position Overview

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to schedule to prevent breakdowns and minimise downtime.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality.
  • Implement and maintain maintenance management software to document work orders, track equipment history, and maintain maintenance records.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to prioritise maintenance tasks and minimise disruptions to production schedules.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support projects aimed at enhancing equipment performance and reliability.
  • Participate in research and development projects and contribute to design and manufacturing mechanical parts and assemblies
Maintenance Engineer Position Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems.
  • A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Maintenance Engineer Position Remuneration
  • Salary: £35,000- £40,000
  • Working hours: 8:30am - 5pm
  • Holiday Package: 25 days + 8BH
