JOB AD:ROLE: Equipment Support TechnicianLOCATION: Near CambridgeSALARY: Negotiable (DOE)DURATION: Yearly Rollin Contract - Highly likely turn to permanent (MUST be eligible to work in the UK without a visa)ABOUT THE COMPANY:My client is looking for an Equipment Support Technician to support the operations teams to sustain the upkeep of the equipment and processes to ensure effective delivery of daily production demands.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide first line equipment support to troubleshoot process and equipment issuesUtilise LEAN, Six Sigma, other best practice tools and principles for day-to-day problem solving and continuous improvementsWorking closely with equipment engineering and operations teams to effectively restore equipment or process breakdownsMaintain and improve operations efficiencyImplement and maintain effective statistical process controls (SPC) to ensure process and equipment quality controls against Quality Control Plan and Out of Control Action Plan (QCP/OCAP)Provide effective handover to operational and engineering colleagues across shiftsMaintain and develop equipment preventative maintenance plansWork with equipment engineering to qualify new processes or equipmentActively undertakes 5S and continuous improvement activities.Compile Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide training to other personnelREQUIRED:Experience of working in a manufacturing and/or clean room environmentExperience of operating equipment and carrying out technical processesGood manual dexterity and attention to detailExperience of applying a quality standard to your workAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writingBasic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) - able to enter data into the manufacturing system and interpret data to identify issuesDesirable:Experience of working in electronics or semiconductor industryUnderstanding of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principlesCAD experience Solidworks, etc.Basic math skills to enable you to calculate measurementsQuality assurance experience.
