Job Description

Lead HRBP 12 month FTC Cambridge City / Hybrid Working Salary up £64,000We are delighted to be recruiting an interim Lead HR Business Partner for a period of 12 months for a well-known and prestigious education organisation in Cambridge. Working as part of the lead HRBP team, you will report to the Assistant Director of HR, in proactively supporting managers across the whole spectrum of HR practice whilst leading your own HR team of HR Business Partners. You will be partnering with circa:2,000 people in your client group areas. The role:

  • Act as a central point of contact for managers to provide advice and guidance on a range of HR issues.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of effective organisational change including leading on any restructures
  • Advise and lead on complex employee relations cases
  • Proactively identify service improvements;
  • Project work to deliver service improvements and change programmes
  • Coach and develop managers as well as your own HR team on effective people practices
  • Experience of advising and influencing senior management on matters of HR strategy and practice working to achieve solutions
About you:
  • A graduate level education and membership of the CIPD or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience in a senior leadership HR role, with operational and strategic experience of employment law, ER case management and organisational change management
  • Experience of working in a large complex business would be an advantage, i.e. local government, NHS or education
  • A natural coach, mentor with strong emotional intelligence and gravitas.
  • Experience of working with unions and tupe would be an advantage
  • Experience of advising and influencing senior managers on HR issues
  • A positive and flexible approach to problem solving at a strategic and operational level
  • The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels, with strong communication skills
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, with experience of liaising with both internal and external customers
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce and present clearly articulated, well structured, concise reports
