Vacancy Ref - JR1505Role: Internal Sales Executive / Branch AssistantIndustry: Electrical WholesaleLocation - Cambridge, CambridgeshireWorking hours - Full time permanent Monday to Friday with Saturday mornings on a rota (usually 1 in 3)Salary - up to circa £28,000 per annum + bonusRhodium Consulting is recruiting for an Internal Sales person / Branch Assistant to join an established electrical wholesale business in the Cambridge area.The role will involve working within a small team of people dealing with pricing enquiries, technical queries and sales orders.A proportion of the role will be reactive calls dealing with incoming queries as well as outbound sales calls to win new business.As part of a small team your duties will also include serving customers on the trade counter and some stores work when required.This role could suit someone with some trade counter experience who is looking to progress onto the next stage in their career or an experienced telephone sales person with a flexible attitude.Responsibilities will include:Handling enquiriesRegular phone contact of customers to secure orders on electrical wholesale productsAssisting with organising the trade counterBeing aware of the commercial value and profit of the products being soldSetting up new customers, payments termsRaising Quotations for customer ordersProgressing queriesProviding technical advice where requiredReactive and proactive telephone salesServing customers at the trade counterDeveloping the customer base by regular contact which may include customer visits where requiredUse of computer system including quotations, enquiries, back ordersSkills Required:Experience of the electrical wholesale sector is preferable although our client would consider candidates from a wider trade background working for companies such as Screwfix, Toolstation or a plumbers merchant for exampleIdeally some knowledge of electrical productsPolished communication skills (written and verbal)Computer literate (inc Microsoft Office)Enjoys speaking to people on the phoneReliable and committed working attitude with great organisational skillsA hard-working team player with a flexible and helpful attitudeA self-motivated person with a flexible attitude and good work ethic who understands the importance of getting the job done and responding to the customer as promised, efficient and effective.Positive with a friendly "can do" attitude.A good listener who is keen to learn, develop new skills and "get on" in the business.You will have a good understanding of the trade sales industry and be able to communicate with a wide variety of people.Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday mornings on a rota basis, full time permanent position.Salary up to circa £28,000 per annum + bonus potentialAll applications are dealt with in the strictest of confidence.Rhodium Consulting Ltd is a niche recruitment consultancy specialising in wholesalers, merchants and distributors within the building products sector.
