Job Description

Robert Half Cambridge - Group Reporting Accountant Robert Half Cambridge are excited to be exclusively partnered with a global organisation as they pursue a Group Revenue Accountant. This new role will be perfect for a strong technical accountant that would like to gain exposure to the commercial world in a growing and highly evolved company. You will work with multiple stakeholders to train them on any relevant compliance that may need to be adhered to in the contracts issuing process, whilst being the go-to point of contact for IFRS 15 controls across the group.Main Responsibilities:Revenue accounting

  • Ensuring high technical standards and accounting compliance across the group in line with IFRS 15
  • Reviewing large and complex contracts in accordance with IFRS15, and working with the local financial controllers and revenue accountants on areas of accounting complexity
  • Providing technical guidance and support and response to ad hoc queries from group finance, local controllers and the Commercial and Sales functions
  • Being the subject matter expert for internal projects that have an effect on revenue recognition
  • Maintaining the group PCS calculations
  • Being responsible for revenue recognition policies and updates to the Group Accounting Manual
  • Being responsible for the training of local and regional controllers in revenue recognition under IFRS
    • Commercial support
  • Proactively engaging with the sales team to understand upcoming deals and contracts
  • Supporting commercial deal review
  • Developing and updating accounting policies where necessary for new sales offerings
    • Compliance
  • Interacting with Financial Operations in designing and implementing minimum controls in relation to revenue
  • Ensuring compliance with the Groups minimum internal control framework
  • Liaising with external audit and ensuring group wide compliance is met
