Job Description

We are delighted to be partnering with a leading not for profit organisation based in Cambridge as they seek to recruit a Finance Officer to join their team. This is a newly created role and within this position, you will report into the Chief FinancialOfficer. The role is a part time vacancy, for 21 hours per week,and the hours can be spread across either 3, 4 or 5 days. The role also offers flexibility to work from home on some of these days.As the incoming Finance Officer you will play a pivotal role within the organisation, and be a key competent in the running of the finance department. You will be tasked with the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:- Posting of supplier and sales invoices- Bank reconciliations- Month end journals- Balance sheet reconciliations- Quarterly VAT returns- Assisting with forecasting and budgeting- Assisting the CFO with year end processes and auditAs the successful candidate you will have previous experience working in a similar level accountancy role, with strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. You will also have strong excel knowledge, good communication skills and excellent numericaland analytical skills.
