Job Description

The One Group are privileged to be working exclusively with Objective Imaging, World Class Leaders in the field of Digital Pathology Solutions, in their search for a Field Service Engineer. Adopted by many prestigious clinics and hospitals across the UK, Europe and beyond, their range has been developed to produce exceptional image quality as well as being at the forefront of automation control.This varied role will be responsible for tasks such as installation, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment demonstrations and training. You should ideally have experience of working in an ISO13485 environment and familiarity with medical equipmentor scientific instrumentation. If you have experience with microscope based imaging equipment that would be an added bonus!You will be required to visit sites across the UK & Ireland as well as occasional travel to Europe so a valid driving licence is a must. The role does offer a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to work from home or in the office when you are not inthe field. It is preferred that you spend at least one day in the office just outside of Cambridge.Alongside the technical aspects of the job, ensuring customer satisfaction is of the highest priority, whether that be during onsite visits, telephone calls, via email or video-conferencing - you really want to take pride in what you do.This really is a rarely available opportunity and exciting time to join a growing business with the potential for the role to develop into leading a team for the right person.Sounding good so far…………So, what do we need from you

  • Experience in a Field Service or related role.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical products with a relevant qualification.
  • Experience with medical devices, medical equipment, scientific instrumentation or microscope based imaging equipment.
  • Ideally experience with Automation and Control whilst not being afraid of a circuit board or motors!
  • Curious to learn and build knowledge to become an expert in your field.
  • Excellent customer service skills and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to move, unpack, and lift equipment weighing up to approximately 25kg.

  • Salary of £40,000 - £55,000, dependent on experience.
  • Pension scheme after 3 months service.
  • Work from home when not in the field with a minimum of 1 day in the Cambridge office per week.
  • Annual performance bonus subject to personal and company performance.
  • Car allowance or access to a car to carry out the role.
  • Monday - Friday.
