Job Description

Would you like to work on a product that very directly saves lives through a unique and market leading new technologyWere looking for an embedded software engineer who will be able to say just that.The job:

  • Coding for embedded targets - C with a bit of C++, mostly on Linux platforms
  • Python engineering (not just scripting) both control software and data processing applications
  • Working close to the hardware, with a bit of application layer
  • Some contributions to CI/CD
    • About You:
  • Skilled in C
  • A bit of Python, even if just scripting
  • Happy with a semi-agile environment with modern best practices - CI/CD, version control systems, unit testing, TDD etc.
  • Experience producing well-documented code
    • Preferably you will also have:
  • Linux (particularly Yocto) but even exposure to Linux desktop machines is useful enough to make the learning curve less steep
  • Some experience of working to quality standards, particularly safety-critical, whether that be medical, aerospace, automotive or other
  • A bit of C++
  • Python as a language used for engineering
    • The working environment:
  • Flexible hours
  • Some office based, some remote. We cant offer this fully remote as at times you need to get your hands on the kit, use an oscilloscope, hit the reset button etc!
