Job Description

Exciting Embedded Linux Engineer vacancy at a fast-growing, globally recognised organisation working at the very top of their field.The OrganisationThe organisation are at the forefront of embedded technology.They are currently seeking a talented Embedded Linux Engineer with at least 3 years experience to join their growing development team with the aim of playing a key role maintaining and developingLinux support across the organisations line of embedded products.Embedded Linux EngineerThe successful Embedded Linux Engineer will actively contribute to existing Linux and Cloud technology, as well as their Internet of Things (IoT) program. Main responsibilities will include the developing embedded Linux distributions, board support packagesand device drivers for embedded hardware, including x86 and ARM based platforms.Embedded Linux Engineer Essential Requirements:

  • In-depth technical understanding of the Linux Operating system
  • Proven experience with Linux, its configuration, kernel, driver, and application development
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Open Embedded or Yocto
  • Experience with Linux Networking Configuration (iptables, routing, cellular, wifi)
  • Excellent programming skills (C/C++ and Shell Scripting)
  • Industry specific protocols (J1939, Bluetooth LE, Modbus, CanBus, Zigbee, I2C, SPI, PWM)
  • Experience with TCP/IP socket programming
Embedded Linux Engineer Desirable Skills & Experience:
  • Ubuntu Linux
  • Bootloader porting (e.g. U-Boot)
  • Experience with Agile Software Development and SCRUM
  • Running and managing Docker containers
  • Configuring and managing Jenkins for continuous integration
