Job Description

Production TechnicianCambridgeAre you a passionate Production Technician and looking for an exciting new roleCoulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Technician to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients based in Cambridge working as part of their Research and Development team.This role would suit a Production Technician looking for a career in Electronics Engineering.Principle Responsibilities for the Electronics Technician: -

  • Helping and performing with R&D tasks
  • Organising, restocking, expanding a purpose build R&D lab
  • Maintaining/checking/expanding a library of parts for PCB assembly under Mentor graphics PADs
  • Performing ad hoc manual work and assembly tasks on behalf of R&D engineers
Person specification: -
  • A formal Engineering/relevant qualification
  • An understanding of electronic fundamentals
  • Trouble-shooting, fault finding and debugging skills
  • SMT soldering (to 0201) and PCB repair skills
  • Wiring and cable/harness assembly experience
  • Computer literate
  • The ability to read schematic designs
  • Proficient in the use of standard test equipment eg Oscilloscope, DVM, signal generator
  • Working knowledge of PCB design software
