Electrical Project Manager - Cambridge - Permanent - Commercial projectsA well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to be based in their head office North of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding office for a reputable award-winning M&E business. They cover a wide range of sectors including various commercial projects - education, schools, hospitals, and offices. These projects will range in valuebut typically between £1m and £2m. Most of their projects are with repeat clients due to reputation and long-standing relationships. As the Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure the projects are completed according to schedule and budget undertaking effective planning to make sure the projects completed are profitable. You will also be required to manage a material, subcontractor, installation, procurement and drawing programme in accordance with installation and specification requirements. Throughout the installation its essential you manage labour and subcontractors ensuringcompliance with specification and contract documentation.Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:· Time Served Apprentice or relevant Electrical qualifications.· Working for a Building Services Contractor at a similar level.· Effective planning and project management skills.· Experience of working on large new build projects.· Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of electrical systems and their installation methods.· Consistently good financial returns on projects, taking into account all relevant factors.· Good people management and motivational skills.· The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.· The ability to plan, co-ordinate and prioritise workloads.· Strong results orientation.
