Job Description

Are you currently working in role selling agency marketing services and seeking a change Perhaps youre looking for a BDM role on reduced hours and would be open to 4 days a week Maybe youre selling products to marketers and keen to take a position witha higher base salary as opposed to lower base plus commission.If any of this rings true please get in touch as were working with renowned Cambridge based marketing agency offering a whole range of difference services from webs design to video production, content marketing to print and editorial, as they seek a consultative,experienced BDM to drive new logos to their existing portfolio of clients.Key Duties

  • Sell and secure profitable and sustainable content marketing services, including: advertising, content, design, digital development, digital marketing, and media sales
  • Target, create and maintain a database of key contacts within specified target sectors and markets via CRM
  • Create positive and collaborative working relationships with prospects
  • Play an active part in creating and delivering presentations and proposals, responding to tenders and preparing for pitches
Whilst achieving the above you will be expected to approximately spend 50% of your time focused on outbound cold calling/outreach, and the other 50% of your time working collaboratively on the pitches. You would also be required to attend networking eventsand exhibitions as well as client meetings, so applicants must be comfortable selling in person and presenting. The role is pitched as a non-commission role with a higher salary to account for this, though for candidates keen to have a targeted part of theirsalary, a lower base and commission structure can be achieved.Candidates can come from a variety of backgrounds, though those in media sales, agency sales, or have experience directly selling to marketers would be of most interest, as would any sales people with extensive marketing/content experience/exposure themselves.Applicants can either work 4 or 5 days per week, though the salary outlined is for the full-time equivalent salary, and any part time employee would have the salary pro ratad.
