Job Description

Im looking for an Assistant Manager for the Golden Boar based in Freckenham. £25000 for 40 hours per week plus up to £5k bonus. Live in Accomodation available if you need it.BackgroundThe Golden Boar is a family-owned village pub with a restaurant and letting rooms. Set approximately 7 miles outside from Newmarket and 4 miles from Mildenhall. I am looking to recruit a strong assistant manager to take the business to the next level andassist the manager and directors with our exciting development plans.The assistant managers role is key to ensuring the business operates in a safe and hygienic manner, whilst delivering a profit to ensure a sustainable future.As the face of the business, the assistant manager will maintain high personal and professional standards and be responsible for the day to day business while having an input into the longer term planning.Main responsibilities include

  • To recruit, train, coach mentor and motivate all FOH team members.
  • To be responsible for day to day fire, health, and licensing requirement for the business.
  • To be responsible for cash ups and day to day financial controls.
  • Deal with team member performance issues and escalate where appropriate
  • Take responsibility for own training
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels for FOH are maintained
  • Demonstrate good understanding of the P&L
  • Lead by example to ensure that the highest possible levels of customer service are delivered by the team at all times
  • Ensure agreed service and standards levels are implemented and adhered to by team.
Required
  • To be computer literate with knowledge of excel, Microsoft word, email and various hospitality specific software for example booking.com and Epos systems.
  • Experience of licensing and cellar management
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
Salary & benefits
  • Live in accommodation may be able or assistance with relocation costs.
