Job Description

IntroductionWe are looking for engineers from all backgrounds to join our hardware applications engineering team based in Cambridge UK. Our varied team of unique individuals provides front-line technical support and training to worldwide customers who are developingthe latest products using ARM CPU and System Component IP.We are recruiting at all levels for this role so we welcome applications from any levels of experience.Job RoleWould you like different challenges every day This role involves identifying problems in customer chip designs, replicating issues in simulation and proposing creative solutions. You will use your expert knowledge to deliver technical training courses toour customers engineering teams, by video and in person, whilst also providing design reviews and influencing their system designs. There will be opportunities to mentor and guide less experienced team members and you will also help to improve our productsand help our partners to adopt new technology. You will identify corrections and improvements in development tools and documentation, review documentation and write application notes, example source code and knowledge articles. No two days will be the same!Key Technical Skills & Experience

  • Degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or similar.
  • Experience using HDL such as Verilog or VDHL with tools for simulating hardware using test benches.
  • Working knowledge of microprocessor architectures and interconnect.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast and accurate answers to customer questions about ARM CPU & system hardware IP
  • Develop and deliver customer training courses on CPU & System IP, both on site and remotely.
  • Test IP prior to release and give feedback to the design team.
  • Review customer SOC designs and make recommendations on functionality and optimisation.
  • Create and modify web-based knowledgebase articles and application notes.
  • Review documentation for hardware IP and recommend improvements to the technical authors.
  • Mentor more junior members of the team.
