Job Description

3rd Line EngineerCambridge£50,000 - £55,000Oliver Marks Consulting are currently representing a great MSP based in Cambridge. They are looking to take on a new 3rd Line Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.My client prides themselves on great customer service and have an extremely loyal customer base that is constantly expanding. Their business model in this industry is fantastic with a steady stream of new clients coming on board. Any candidate getting intothe business at this stage can expect a really great career path and to really help to grow and shape the business in the next few years.To be successful in this role you will need a good grounding in Microsoft technologies and a strong technical understanding of the most of the following

  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange/SharePoint/Teams/AAD/Desktop Apps)
  • Migration to Microsoft 365(data/email/accounts)
  • Scripting (Powershell, Windows command)
  • RMM/Remote control MSP Tools (Automate, Control)
  • Ticket management (Zendesk)
  • Network troubleshooting (switches/routers/firewalls/WiFi/DNS/DHCP)
  • Server and Desktop O/S support, upgrades and migrations (Microsoft Windows)
  • Servers and PC equipment (Dell/HP)
  • IP Telephony (3CX/Teams)
  • Network equipment (Watchguard/Ubiquiti Unifi/Mikrotik)
  • Domain/website hosting (20i/Wordpress)
  • Information/Data Security (MFA/SSO/Anti-Malware/Backups)
  • PSA MSP Tools (ConnectWise Manage)
  • Servers and PC equipment (Apple)
  • Server and Desktop O/S support, upgrades and migrations (macOS and Linux)
  • Cloud Services (Acronis/Exclaimer/MailAssure)
  • Cloud Services (Azure/Google Workspace/Amazon Web Services)
  • Information/Data Security (Cyber Essentials/IDP)
