£29,017 per year£1,000 signing on bonus, paid in 2 x £500 instalments, one in your first months pay and one after 12 months service

Join havebike (now part of Halfords) as a Senior Cycle Technician, where youll ensure the work carried out on our customers bicycles by both yourself and other Technicians is to a high standard. Youll share our commitment to customer safety and ensurethe work completed is to a professional standard and follows Halfords procedures. Youll help deliver excellent levels of service to earn customers trust in Halfords.Youll be a role model to the Cycle Technicians, demonstrating the Halfords Values and helping with the training of new and junior colleagues to ensure standards are upheld.Reporting into the Cycle Hub Manager youll work together to ensure all targets and processes are followed and met.Youll be responsible for:

• Delivering excellent levels of organisation to support Technicians, ensuring all jobs are completed to the required standard
• Supporting the Cycle Hub Manager and Cycle Team Leader in the engagement of the team, living the Halfords Values
• Assisting the Cycle Hub Manager & Cycle Team Leader with capacity planning
• Delivering on the job training and development to our Cycle Workshop colleagues
• Completing triages, services and quality control checks whilst ensuring their team also completes all of their jobs on time
• Ensuring full uniform is worn to represent the brand
• Ensuring tools and workspace are organised and tidy
• Working in accordance with Health and Safety requirements in the Hub and on the road
• Completing all administration to company requirements
• Carrying out each job within the agreed time as set out on the Company App to maintain and own labour productivity
• Knowing and understanding your personal targets
• Supporting the Hub team with great communication
• Ensuring you deliver professional standards and follow Halfords processes and procedures

What were looking for:

• Ideally qualified to Cytech Level 2 or above with proven bicycle workshop experience
• Attention to detail, confidence and technical ability
• Experience of delivering exceptional customer experience
• Experience of developing colleagues through delivering technical training
• Commitment to achieving targets
• Track record of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence in using technology, as you will use our in-house app on a tablet to take pictures and manage workflow
