Job Description

RM Recruit Ltd is working in partnership with our Housing Association client who are on the lookout for an Interim Housing Officer for at least 3 months. This role is mostly office based with one day WFH plus travel to other offices close to the Camberwellarea.Main duties include:

  • Assisting the team with tenancy audits
  • Provide administrative and organisational support to the Housing team in all housing functions including tenancy and lettings, rent and arrears, estate management, customer service, dealing with internal and external post and general administrative support.
  • Respond to a wide range of enquiries from residents in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner and support the team by conducting inspections and internal compliance checks as and when required.
  • Use housing management system to effectively record various information to enable effective data management and reporting.
  • Ensure that complaints are appropriately routed so that they are dealt with effectively.
  • Be a point of contact via telephone and email for all new, inbound housing management and repairs enquiries from residents.
  • Respond to calls, emails and other forms of contact from residents and provide prompt, courteous responses and action in accordance with their needs.
  • Book appointments with Tenancy or Income Officers.
  • Record all resident enquiries on the appropriate system, in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain, assist and support the links between the functions within other departments.
  • Conduct garage inspections in line with the Garage Policy
As the ideal candidate, you will possess experience of working in an office environment, housing or administration role / customer focused office environment. Furthermore, you will possess excellent written and verbal communication, report writing, interpersonal,attention to detail and customer service skills and the ability to use Word, Excel and Outlook to a high standard.You will be available immediately and you will be able to come on board and hit the ground running with minimal supervision required.
