Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a Technical Service Manager for a leading company within the financial sector.Technical Service Manager£50-£55kSouth WalesThe Technical Services Manager will be responsible for business continuity, support, management and development of the IT technical infrastructure and associated operational systems / applications within the company.The Technical Services team is responsible for the design, delivery and technical success of the Societys IT infrastructure and associated supporting architecture and will be instrumental in delivering the technical aspects that underpin the business strategyKey Accountabilities -

  • Identify and facilitate a positive user experience by ensuring the smooth delivery of high quality services that meet and exceedinternal customer demands
  • Lead the effective operation of IT technical services in line with establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by Board
  • Ensure proactive, effective and efficient day to day operation of IT technical delivery across the Society
  • Drive accountability throughout all levels of the department through the communication of expectations and cascading of top-level objectives that support the overall vision of the society and drive a customer focused delivery
Responsibilities
  • Provide IT leadership for all technology IT services through the delivery of a capable and knowledgeable technology IT services team
  • Lead, maintain and support the Societys IT network infrastructure and implement up to date solutions across the IT infrastructure estate to ensure that IT provision meets the Societys current and future requirements in line with requirements, projectsand central support system.
  • Research and advise the IT & Technical team of developments and initiatives to improve Society infrastructure and systems.
  • Maintain system security to a recognised required standard.
  • Review and suggest ongoing improvement of systems and processes through incremental and breakthrough enhancements, with a focus on speed, scalability and security.
Essentials-
  • Proven track record of successfully leading both physical and virtual teams Experience in dealing with third-party service providers
  • Operational ability in a diverse environment
  • Exceptional customer-facing skills In-depth knowledge of escalation procedures, incident management, and other disciplines related to service delivery
  • Mastery of ITIL (Information Technology
  • Infrastructure Library) principles Solid resource planning and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
