Reed Financial Services are pleased to be representing a longstanding and established Mutual Building Society in South Wales who seek Compliance professionals for a live vacancy for aSenior Compliance Business Partner.IN RETURNA salary of up to 45k plus unrivalled benefits which include agile /hybrid working , 28 days + Bank hols, Private Health plan, 10% Pension contribution, Health and well being plus many more.ROLE PURPOSEReporting to the Chief Compliance Officer this role is to partner with colleagues on FCA and GDPR Compliance, and conduct culture, supporting and enabling them to understand and apply it within their roles and business processes. This enables colleaguesto support the Society in delivery of its strategy and keep the Society and our members safe.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Provide a business partner service to the Society for regulatory compliance, conduct or data protection related issues or queries and use your Subject Matter Expertise to proactively add value and drive improvements Guide the business areas through Compliance, conduct and Data Protection challenges by providing proactive information and advice, taking account of commercial imperatives, constructively and robustly challenging business areas Regulatory Horizon Scanning - Identification and interpretation of related regulatory change relevant to Society activities and monitoring progress of the overall regulatory change portfolio. Providing focused oversight and support to Senior Managementon high priority items. Provide regulatory SME input, assessment and opinions to business change initiative, including acquisition and integration projects at Functional project meetings and committees Produce reports (on a cyclical and requested basis) on the management of Risk & Compliance issues (for management and Board), constructively challenging the outputs of those reports and any associated actions. Lead the delivery of education on Compliance, Conduct and Data Protection issues where required i.e. deliver Compliance, Conduct and Data Protection training, advice and support to the 1st or 2nd lines of defence. Development of policies, processes and tools that direct FCA Compliance, Conduct and Data Protection activities across the Society.TECHNICAL EXPERTISE REQUIRED 3+ years experience in a 2nd line compliance function fulfilling an advisory role In depth knowledge of regulations impacting retail banking and mortgage business models, including payment services regulation Strong understanding of conduct culture Advanced in MS office packagesDESIRABLE Strong understanding of mutual business models Strong understanding of Operational Resilience Understanding of cyber/IT/Cloud regulatory approach understanding of compliance monitoring systems and approaches understanding of SMCRQUALIFICATIONS Degree level qualification Professional compliance or data protection qualification such as those through ICA, IAPP or CeMAP
