We are seeking to employ 1 part time (22.5 hours) qualified Health Visitor to work within the Flying Start health visiting team in the Monmouthshire Borough based in Caldicot.The post will be based and work within in a team of Health Visitors and skill-mix staff.The successful candidate will have high levels of professionalism and clinical skills and be able to work on their own initiative as well as working effectively in partnership with parents/carers and other services such as Family First, Primary Care, Children Services and School Nursing.We are committed to delivering the full implementation of the Healthy Child Wales Flying Start Programme. We have an excellent training programme to support and develop newly qualified and experienced Health Visitors, with regular safeguarding supervision and management support. We are committed to developing our Health Visitors as leaders within the Public Health Early Years agenda and ensure we deliver excellent quality of care to the preschool population and their families/carers within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. The Health Visitor will also utilise the wider public health principles and a community development approach, in order to tackle health inequalities and strengthen communities and deliver on Welsh Government Public Health priorities and our exciting Clinical Futures agenda.The Health Visitor contributes to the development of new projects and policies within the health visiting service and is involved in the research, implementation and evaluation of evidence based practice. The post holder will be responsible for providing universal, enhanced, and intensive Health Visiting services to children and families from all cultural diversities on their case load.
