Job Description

My client, a successful SME business in the Caldicot area, is seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its small but busy team. Reporting directly into the Finance Manager of the business the main duties of the role will include -

  • Deal with Purchase Ledger - matching, batching and coding
  • Sales Ledger Receipts
  • Posting up to TB stage
  • Reconciliations work
  • Chase outstanding debt
  • Credit Control duties
  • Deal with payment queries and issues
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Assisting with weekly payroll
  • Supporting Finance Manager and Head of Finance with other tasks as and when required
Personal Skills required for the role to include -
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise
  • Good communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Comfortable with liaising with external contacts in a professional manner
  • A team player with strong personal values, showing integrity and proactive work approach
  • Good attention to detail
My client is seeking a candidate who is looking for a challenge and who can take on additional tasks as and when required. The successful applicant will have a proven track record within accounts. You will be an AAT / ACCA / CIMA studier, although exceptionalQBEs will also be considered.Previous Sage 200 usage would be beneficial.This is a superb opportunity to work for a reputable organisation, so if interested please call me.
