Buyer Location: ChepstowPosition: Full time, PermanentSalary: Up to £30,000Our Client Autograph Recruitment are delighted to be working with this global manufacturer. My client prides themselves on their consistentcommitment and professionalism in providing the best expertise to their customers.The Opportunity This position is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to progress and step up their career. This role will involve being part of an enthusiastic, purchasing team. This position is to assist in all areas relating to supplier engagement and relationsfor the tendering and ordering of materials.My client is looking for a highly organised individual, with the ability to think smart. The successful candidate will have experience in a previous purchasing role, and will be able to meet the business needs. Working alongside the Purchasing Manager,as well as with all departments, this individual will provide smooth communication between all suppliers, enabling the complete manufacture process operate successfully, satisfying customer needs.Responsibilities of Buyer:

  • Raising and taking ownership of purchase orders placed, ensuring best possible purchase practice
  • Working with other departments to align costs and timings
  • Research new suppliers to achieve cost savings and target new opportunities
  • Review costs to obtain savings, evaluate orders and analyse order volumes
  • Manage inventory levels based on supply strategy, goals, and related products
  • Work with registered suppliers for quotations to satisfy Project and Production departments
  • Work closely with production planners and operations supervisors
  • Challenge other departments regarding existing purchasing channels
  • Prepare audits and work towards maintaining ISO certifications and standards
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience of working within a purchasing role
  • Previous experience of cost analyst work and budget management
  • Desirable of familiarisation in using ERP systems
  • Personable with impeccable telephone manners
  • Ability to work in a busy environment at a consistent pace and manage timely tasks under pressure
  • Excellent IT and computer skills, proficient across Microsoft platforms
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as on own initiative
  • Working to deadlines efficiently, with high attention to detail
