Job Description

Immediate positions to fill with the NHS - together we can beat COVID-19!Acorn is working with Aneurin Bevan UHB to place hundreds of people into urgent key worker roles in various hospitals.The roles:

  • You will be required to undertake various roles such as a Cleaner, Porter and Catering Assistant.
  • You will receive full training and will be provided with the correct uniform, safety footwear and PPE.
    • Locations:
  • We have jobs in a number of hospitals in Newport, Ebbw Vale, Abergavenny, Ystrad Mynach and Pontypool.
  • You dont need to apply for each area - once youve applied to one job listed with Acorn, we will review you for all nearby hospitals.
    • Shifts:
  • Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm
  • No need to do alternating shifts - we can provide flexible shifts to suit you
  • £8.92 per hour (Saturday x 1.5 Sunday x2)
    • Requirements:
  • You must be willing to do all roles detailed above as and when required by the hospital.
  • You must have access to your own transport, or able to walk to one of the hospitals, to apply by the Government social distancing guidelines.
  • You will be required to pass a DBS check.
    • Unfortunately we will not be able to take your application further if:
  • You or anyone in your family is showing any symptoms of COVID-19.
  • You live with anyone who is classed as high risk and is therefore shielding over the next 12 weeks; in line with NHS guidelines.
