Job Description

A specialist manufacturing business who supplies sustainable packaging to the Food and Drink market are looking to bring on a Quality Manager. This role is responsible for the co-ordination of innovation projects generated from both within the business andwith key global branded customers. This role will also be responsible for technical line trials on new primary and secondary packaging materials, ensuring that all materials / product development is compatible with manufacturing processes and machinery. Thisrole will offer international travel to visit various manufacturing sites, you will be working with some of the biggest food and drink businesses in the world.Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and improve quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g. BRC, GMP)
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of laboratory and manufacturing processes, equipment, and documentation to identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish and define competent statistical analysis, monitoring quality control data to identify trends, deviations, and potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality assurance activities, including audit reports, corrective action plans, and training records.
  • Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances in a timely manner.
  • New product development particularly QA trials, sample testing and approvals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Manager or Senior quality role, preferably in a regulated industry (e.g., food service or packaging).
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to laboratory operations including UKAS and ISO 17025 or similar would be beneficial but not essential at this stage.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, and investigations, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ability to write technical customer reports based on data analysis of quality measures.
  • Need to have BRC experience
