Job Description

Our well-established client is looking for an IT / Analyst Developer to join their team. The role will involve maintaining, supporting and developing both existing and new web and non-web applications to meet business requirements - providing recommendations for improvements throughout all business departments but especially focusing on customer and user experience.Responsibilities

  • To deliver improvement to systems throughout the business via continuous improvement and monthly sprints
  • Writing high-quality code to program complete applications on schedule, adopting industry best practices where possible
  • Collaborating with other IT team members to agree and deliver specifications for new solutions
  • To develop technology solutions to specification, working with business users, customers and third-party development partners, including following the companys processes as follows:
    • Understanding client requirements and how they translate to new application featuresTo write design documents and obtain approval before starting developmentTo develop solutions to meet the agreed design, adopting an agile and iterative approach where appropriateTo unit and system test all development to ensure it works as designedTo assist and occasionally lead User Acceptance TestingTo document change and release procedures and obtain approval before releasing enhancements
  • Work with the Director of IT to define, implement and manage all application development processes for the effective and efficient delivery of all committed services and projects
    • Essential Skills
  • A strong customer focus with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • To have an attitude for achieving excellence in Customer Service and Satisfaction
  • The ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within project timeframes
  • Experience of client server, database and web development technologies - e.g. .NET, ASP, HTML, Java, Hybris, JavaScript, jQuery, C# and SQL Server
  • Experience of data integration tools such as Scribe and Pentaho DI
  • Experience of delivering solutions from requirements gathering, specification to development, test, release and accompanying support
  • Experience of applying IT initiatives to meet business requirements
  • Experience of support and problem solving
  • Experience of liaising with both technical and business stakeholders, building good relationships at all levels
  • Ability to effectively manage and communicate with third party providers to achieve positive outcomes to any work carried out by them
  • To understand the IT service delivery process
  • To understand project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or Agile
