Are you a person who really wants to make a difference to people who have obesity Are you seeking a role that is rewarding, allows you to support patients and makes a real impact Then look no further.This post is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic band 6 Dietitian to join the Weight Management Service (WMS) in ABUHB on a fixed term contract. The post holder will support, develop and deliver the specialist dietetic services as part of the WMS team. The post holder will be expected to work independently, offering dietetic clinics, group sessions and providing dietetic support as part of a multi-disciplinary team offering specialist services for obese patients with complex needs. The individual must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the management of patients in this specialist area and have a keen interest in behaviour change.The post holder will be based at St Cadocs Hospital. During the Cvoid-19 pandemic all of our services are being held virtually but when outpatient services resume, contacts will be face to face. This role includes travelling to different sites to deliver interventions therefore you must be able to travel to undertake the duties of the post at various locations is an essential part of the roleThe AWMS was established in 2014 and is the only Weight Management Service in Wales. We will be establishing a Children and Young Persons Weight Management Service in 2019 with the aim of becoming a lifespan service.
