An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our existing team on Pillmawr Ward, St Cadocs Hospital. We are looking for a nurse who has commitment to working within the specialism of Forensic Rehabilitation and is innovative and enthusiastic, who can demonstrate an enthusiasm for the ongoing development of the service and who has a particular interest in psychological therapies and implementing groups. Flexible working hours and patterns will be considered.Our service provides a comprehensive and holistic care for patients who require a step down from secure services or who have challenging behaviours and would benefit from a protracted period of rehabilitation. The unit consists of a 13 bedded staffed rehabilitation ward a 3 bedded house that is staffed throughout the day and a 3 bedded unstaffed house for those individuals who are more able to function independently. You will need to possess good clinical knowledge and have an interest in working with individuals with complex mental health needs and be able to demonstrate an understanding of issues relating to this patient group. You will need to demonstrate a commitment to delivering high quality person centred care, contributing to the development and shaping of care delivery in accordance with national and local policy.You should have good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, carers and other professionals. An understanding of risk management and the CTP process is expected. You will be joining a team that is passionate and focused on achieving excellence in care delivery, for this challenging and rewarding patient group. This post would enable applicants to access the Journey of Excellence (JoE) professional development programme aligned to the learning and development opportunities offered within the Health Board.
