Director of OperationsAneurin Bevan University Health BoardSouth WalesSalary £107,182 - £111,470Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an exceptional individual to join us as a Director of Operations. As one of the largest Health Boards in Wales with integrated Public Health, Primary, Community, Mental Health and Secondary Care, the organisation is responsible for the delivery of health services for more than 600,000 people, employing circa 14,000 staff in South East Wales. We have clear values about how we do business with a patient first ethos which underpins everything we do.This is a high profile role requiring exceptional leadership and management skills, decision making and an ability to effectively communicate and forge strong relationships at all levels. The post holder will have professional stature and political awareness, ideally gained at a very senior level close to or at Board level within the NHS.You will provide strategic leadership, management for numerous operational Divisions to include: Urgent Care & Medicine, Scheduled Care, Family & Therapies and Facilities Divisions. As the Director of Operations you will have a successful track record of operational delivery of services meeting national and local performance targets and standards, with a clear focus on the quality and safety agenda.Your leadership will enable the Health Board to achieve continuous clinical excellence, outstanding patient care, financial sustainability whilst maintaining a strong values based approach. You will work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and have a track record of delivering results through partnerships and strong engagement.
