THIS POST IS A FIXED TERM CONTRACT UNTIL 31ST JULY 2020 TO COVER THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.Aneurin Bevan University Health BoardChild Development Advisor 15 hours per week / Band 5Fixed Term to 31st July 2022The Gwent Child Development Advisory (CDA) Service is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work with young children with a developmental delay and their families. Our service works alongside parents to promote development through play, modelling techniques for parents to use and providing advice and guidance to support parents to be independent facilitators of their child’s development.You will have experience of working with young children and will be able to offer a relevant qualification (e.g. NNEB). You will also be knowledgeable about child development and have skills in using creative and playful techniques to promote development. It is essential that you are a car driver as the majority of your work will be in families’ homes.You will join a team of lively and experienced Child Development Advisors providing a pan Gwent service to children with developmental delay and their parents.
