Working Mechanical Foreman - Permanent - Defence & Commercial projects - SuffolkA well-established mechanical and electrical services company are actively looking for an experienced Working Mechanical Foreman for their expanding Suffolk office. The role will be both on the tools and supervising dependant on the project.The position will be working in the Defence and Commercial sector so ideally you will need to have previous experience and good track record of similar projects in these sectors. Also, an advantage is you already have MOD / USAF base pass.As a Working Mechanical Foreman you will be responsible for the following: Responsible for management of all mechanical operatives on site (direct / Apprentices / sub-contractors / agency) Allocate the workload accordingly, meeting customer deadlines and maintaining standards and quality of workmanship at all times Leading teams of Plumbers and Pipefitters Ensuring health and safety is maintained Organising materials and sub-contractors Toolbox talks Attend site meetings.Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience: Have hands on ability - preferably Time Served / NVQ qualified. Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of mechanical systems and their installation methods. Day to day problem solving and answering / resolving any technical queries. Good people management and motivational skills. The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines. Responsibility in assuring the installation is of a high standard.
