Mechanical Estimator - Permanent - Commercial Projects - based in SuffolkAn established national mechanical and electrical building services company are actively looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator based in their Mildenhall office tendering projects within the East Anglian region.You will have experience in medium to large new build and refurbishment projects within the Industrial, Commercial, Education, Healthcare, MOD, Government and Leisure Sectors.As the Mechanical Estimator you will work within an established estimating team in preparing estimates up to £5 million joint M&E value, typically 100k to £2 million mechnical.As the Mechanical Estimator you will have the following duties and responsibilities: Produce competitive, commercially viable tenders for new and existing clients. Ability to identify alternative designs to obtain competitive advantages. Carry out take offs from working drawings. Able to negotiate the optimum tender price from suppliers, wholesalers and subcontractors. Ensure tenders are prepared to a high standard. Participate in handover of successful bids to delivery team. Ensure delivery team understand the technical, financial and key programme issues.Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience: Previous experience of a similar role within a building services contracting environment.
