Job Description

Empowering Learning is proud to represent a leading SEN provision, specialising in supporting young individuals with autism, speech and language disorders, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and associated behavioural challenges.This position offers a 12 week temp to perm option based on a 3 on 3 off rota pattern working 7.15am - 10.00pmThe RoleAs a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting the residential students of this SEN provision both within the school premises, their homes, and in community settings. Your responsibilities will encompass teaching independent living skills,providing 1:1 support in the classroom, offering personal care assistance, and participating in the planning and execution of day trips.This presents an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals while contributing to a team that prioritises person-centred care and places the safeguarding of these vulnerable young people above all else.Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrates patience and calm demeanor with exceptional communication skills.
  • Possession of a relevant Level 3 qualification is desirable.
  • Possession of a driving license is preferred.
  • Exhibits a natural respect for the individuality and dignity of those under our care.
