Job Description

Position: Logistics AdministratorLocation: Burton-on-TrentFull-time; permanent, 5 days over 7Shift: 06:00-14:00, 08:00-16:00, 10:00-18:00 including weekendsSalary: £21,000 (37,5 hours per week)Grafton Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Logistics Administrator to join expanding team based at Distribution Centre in Burton upon Trent.If you have experience in Navision WMS (warehouse management system), ability to work to deadlines, prioritising work accordingly, professional approach to problem solving and you are flexible to varied tasks & shift patterns keep reading.As a Logistics Administrator you will support the administration team with all aspects of Store Service and Supplier Liaison.This is an opportunity to expand your knowledge of distribution methods, being open to learning new skills.List of responsibilities as a Logistics Administrator:

  • Building strong relationships with internal, external customers.
  • Booking in all deliveries into the DC
  • Act as the first DC contact for stores, resolving queries by liaising with other DC departments.
  • Arranging backhaul loads to DC.
  • Monitoring, coordinating and reporting on DC deliveries to stores.
  • Keeping records of all container delivery times sending these weekly to management to support with measuring SLA.
  • Keeping track of backhaul bookings including booking in with the correct people and tracking the delivered time.
  • Communicating with head office to get priority POs booked in on specific dates.
  • Lead daily service meetings and follow up on actions.
The ideal Candidate for a Logistics Administrator position:
  • Customer Service experience and excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to and evaluate data.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Transport planning experience desire.
  • Problem identification and resolution of operational issues.
